Hiking tip: Discover the Alpe di Fanes
At an altitude of 2,000m, Fanes is the setting for many Dolomite legends. It has fascinated people for thousands of years and continues to do so today. The starting point of this moderately difficult hike is Pederü and you set off through a valley characterised by its mountain pines.
Once past the Piciodel lake, you cross beautiful alpine meadows at the Munt de Pices Fanes mountain hut. From here you can head towards the Lavarella mountain hut or to the Fanes mountain hut. Both can be reached in 5 minutes from Munt de Pices Fanes . Difficulty level: medium Duration: approx. 3 hours
Winter tip: Also possible in winter thanks to a prepared winter hiking trail.
Special highlight: Discover the beautiful and secluded Lech Vërt mountain lake - only a few minutes away from the Fanes mountain hut. Simply turn right just before the Fanes mountain hut and you'll see it.
